Updating the website
Welcome to www.StevenGagnon.com where you can learn more about my artwork, accomplishments, news, and upcoming exhibitions. The weekly updated blog is your best way to find out what is happening in the studio.
This past week I have been updating my website with more current information. I began by updating my bibliography. I went through and properly documented all the periodicals that have reviewed my work. I also added hot links, so one can easily click directly to the original article or to where it is located on my website. In addition, I sorted all the press and posted it with the appropriate project, so now one only has to go to that project's page and can easily read all the articles relating to that particular work.
This process is time consuming and tedious, thus explaining why it has gone neglected. However, it needed to be accomplished and could not be ignored any further. This week I will continue to tweak the site with some subtle additions and changes, but overall it is complete. I look forward to getting started on some new projects soon.
On June 19th, the Miami NewTimes ran the story about the tragedy that happened in Houston. On a lighter note, the paper a few weeks prior listed the Border Cruiser in their Best Of 2008 list as best recycled squad car.
