This week of August 15 thru 19, 2005, Herr Stephan Braun was able to work on the project amid his other responsibilities of running the body shop. He concentrated his efforts on finishing the passenger side of where the Mercedes Benz door ends. He was able to fabricate and weld in the middle section of this panel . He is just about finished with the making the bottom section and will weld this in next week.

While Herr Braun was busy on the actual sculpture, I was working on my own smaller versions of the German project. Over the weekend, I had visited a number of model car shops and found toy cars in 1:18 and 1:87 scales. During the week, I cut the models of the Trabant and Mercedes up and proceed to make my own smaller versions of the project. The 1:87 scale models I was able to fuse and paint in a day. The 1:18 scale models will take a little longer and should be painted by next week. Also this week, I was able to schedule a company to assist in the video installation of the project at the end of the month. So all in all, things are moving along.
