This week of August 22nd to 26th, 2005, we made a good deal of progress on the project. Herr Braun was planning to go on vacation for 2 weeks and had to get the project to a point where all major welding and bonding work was finished. This week we put both Trabant side panels permanently on the sculpture. We also finished and fused the roof where the Mercedes and Trabant come together. We are now at the stage where we are doing all the preparations to paint the work. It is going to be a busy couple of weeks for me, as I will be more involved in the actual work that is being done.
