Prepping to paint & working out the video installation

This week of August 29th to September 2nd, the shop began the work to prepare the sculpture for painting. They were able to sand down the majority of the sculpture and miscellaneous parts as well as begin the filler work to create a smooth exterior finish. In addition, the video technician from Cologne based 235Media flew in on Thursday and spent the day working out the technical difficulties to install and have the video part of the project work. We were able to see that the installation would not be a problem and should work as I had imagined. In addition to more of the same of applying filler and sanding, we were able to take the remains of the Trabant further apart . Next week will be more of the same of this week of prepping the sculpture so it is ready to paint.
