Portrait of My Father 1995 Acrylic on canvas 32 x 40 inches Collection of Snap On Tool Corporation This work is a tribute to my father. Rather than paint a figurative representation of the man, I chose to depict my Dad through the tools he uses to not only earn his living but to perform the job he loves. In the background are his father's mechanics tools and the car on which my Dad learned. I attempted to encompass all of the elements that help shape him and his career. Copyright 1995 Steven D.
