Before coming to a decision of what car to purchase for the project, I took at look at this wrecked Mercedes on Sunday, June 5th. It is owned by Edwin Ben, a South African fashion designer who has been living in Germany the last 16 years. His Mercedes was hit in the rear on the Autobahn. The impact was so strong it pushed the front of his car into the car that was some meters ahead of him. Since I do not need the rear of the car, I thought this could be an inexpensive solution for the project. However, I was afraid repairing the damage to the front might end up costing the same as a Mercedes in decent shape.
